The proposed school will be a LEED certified green building, and it is intended to collect the majority of the roof runoff for re-use on-site for internal building uses and/or irrigation. The runoff will be collected and piped via roof leaders into a 20,000 gallon Horizontal HighDRO Rainwater Collection Tank. The water will be pre-treated through a Vortex Rainwater Filter for quality treatment prior to entry in the rainwater tank and re-use in the building or eventual discharge to the DelDOT storm system in Berwyn Road.
